The toolkit includes practical tips and case studies for each of the eight doorways to sustainability outlined in the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Sustainable Schools National Framework. Designed in conjunction with school leaders, the toolkit helps you to engage with the sustainable schools agenda and make a difference in your school. It guides you to identify different strands of sustainability work already underway and develop strategies for addressing sustainability in your school. It helps you to allocate responsibility for developing action plans, while also instilling a sense of ownership across the whole school community.

Unfortunately, the toolkits have now sold out but you are able to download the eight doorway booklets below in order to start the process of auditing and developing sustainability in your school.

Toolkit doorways

The eight doorways covered in the toolkit are designed to help you audit your current position and provide ideas to help your school operate in a more sustainable way. You may choose to look at just one doorway initially or start work on several at the same time. The doorways often interrelate; work in one area often having an impact on other areas.
