Fellowship Programme details
The Fellowship Programme is the pinnacle of the College's provision and offers an exciting opportunity to those who want to influence the wider education landscape as system leaders.
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Application | Applicants complete an online application with details of two referees. |
| Threshold event | This event is the next stage of the selection process and takes place over two days, bringing together all participants. It gives individuals a chance to explore the substance, expectations and aspirations of the programme and allows participants to consider both their individual goals and the ways in which the cohort on the programme can develop collectively as a strategic group. The threshold event sets the direction for the rest of the programme. However, if participants feel that it is not suitable at present they have the opportunity to withdraw at this stage. Occasionally we may also at this point require an individual to withdraw if we judge that the person’s continued participation is unlikely to provide a benefit that is commensurate with the cost of public funds. |
| Pathways stage | The pathways stage supports participants in further developing their self knowledge and leadership skills at the highest level in a way tailored to their personal needs and contexts. It enables participants to work with top leadership colleagues outside education and the public sector in order to strengthen and widen their leadership learning. There is an opportunity for a group of NLEs as their chosen pathway to take part in a Singapore exchange visit based on building educational bridges. |
| Fellowship commission (residential) | The programme culminates with the fellowship commission, which brings the whole group together to work intensively for four days on a major national educational challenge. |
