Eligibility criteria
Independent applicants must be a current school business manager or equivalent working either:
- outside of England, who has identified an English school who will give their full support and at which you may carry out work-based study, consultation and research, and be able to meet the full cost of the course
- in an independent school, further education college or university, and be able to meet the full cost of the course
For the purpose of this programme, the SBM role is defined as undertaking or having experience in at least three elements from the following list in your daily job, at either senior administrator or management level:
- managing school finances (mandatory)
- managing risk in schools
- managing the school environment
- managing school facilities
- managing office services
- managing human resources
We will consider applications from those who are developing their current role through existing internal training, with plans to undertake additional duties in due course. You will need to evidence this in your application.
