Associate Academy Principal Programme cancellation policy

The National College covers all costs for the six two-day development sessions for your chosen programme – including the accommodation – which is provided on the night of day one and can be arranged upon request for the night prior to each development session. We are however unable to cover the cancellation costs charged to us by the venue if you fail to attend a development session without letting us know.

If there is not a valid reason for your cancellation, you may incur cancellation charges to cover the costs incurred by the National College, for the facilitation and organisation of the event, as well as costs incurred as a result of short notice cancellations to the venue.

We will not charge you for cancellation if:

you have a good reason for not attending, for example, illness, bereavement, jury duty, and so on
where possible, you notify us 10 working days before, or as soon as possible after the confirmation email and venue information has been sent to you

However, you will usually incur cancellation charges if:

you fail to show up at the development session without good reason
you provide short notice (less than 10 working days) to the National College of your inability to attend, without good cause*

*Evidence of cause of cancellation may be sought.

The charges are fixed and non-negotiable, and are as follows:

Cancellation	Charge
Per 2-day development session	£30 (£15 per day)
Overnight accommodation	£30 per night

You will be asked to confirm your attendance and accommodation requirements to the National College 10 working days prior to the development session. If you confirm your attendance and accommodation requirements after this deadline we can not guarantee that the venue will have availability for your accommodation requirements, and alternative accommodation will be sought for you.
