Who is the Associate Academy Principal Programme for?
In order to be considered eligible for the programme, you must:
- currently be a vice principal, deputy head or senior leader and be able to evidence significant impact in your own academy or school
- have completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)
- be focused on becoming an academy principal within the next 12–24 months
- be committed to ongoing professional development and learning
- be motivated to work with students in a challenging environment
- have the full support of your current principal or headteacher to engage in this programme (provided in the form of a reference)
- be able to attend the verification day and six two-day residential learning sessions
- be willing to complete a placement in another academy during the programme (for a minimum of five days)
Once your application has been received and checked against the above criteria we will invite you to attend a national verification day.
Should participants need to cancel their place on a development session they will be eligible to pay the venue's cancellation fees.
