Improving children's lives through diverse school leadership conference
24 September 2009, One Whitehall Place, London
The conference aimed to recognise the contribution that diversity in school leadership makes, to explore the challenges that are being faced in taking action to increase diversity, and to develop further ideas for effective local strategies to overcome barriers.
The conference programme was particularly relevant to senior leaders responsible for school workforce strategy in a local, regional or national context. Local authority representatives were encouraged to invite one headteacher or aspiring headteacher from a diverse background.
